Dominica: Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit informed the young individuals in Roseau, Dominica, on February 6, 2023, about the upcoming Caribbean Digital Transformation Project and invited them to participate in the Digital Literacy Skills Training. Â
According to him, the project will provide young people in Dominica with numerous employment opportunities and a better future.
Minister Skerrit said, “Variety of opportunities is yet to come under the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project to give you digital skills for employability”.
According to the Dominican government, the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project will have the following objectives:
Use ICt to Boost Productivity
Learn which IT tools are most suitable for your job.
Discover the most effective way to use information technology tools.
Understand Information technology securityÂ
Learn Presentation Software
Put text, music, and images into your presentation slides.
Develop a PowerPoint presentation
Understand Word Processing
Enter Text Data, Format It, and Organize It
Utilize Microsoft to create reports and professional documents
The coaching will be provided in nine different locations across the island. Following is the list of places chosen by the Dominican Government to provide training:

- Vielle Case Resource Centre
- Â Mahaut Primary School
- Delices Primary School
- Â St Cyr Resource Centre
- Jones Beaupierre Primary School
- Bense Resource Centre
- Grand Bay Youth Centre
- Capuchin Resource Centre
Registration for the program/training session will be free, as mentioned in the information given above. The project was executed as part of the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project, which was implemented by Dominica’s government and related ministries.
