Sofia, Bulgaria: The European country of Bulgaria recorded a total of additional 292 cases of the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The data has been shared in the unified information portal of June 7, 2022.
These new fresh COVID cases have been recorded from the additional 5393 tests conducted at the testing sites in Bulgaria. The positivity rate of the new COVID19 cases remains at 5.41%. The active cases toll in Bulgaria has hiked to 72,329.
With the arrival of these cases, the total count of the confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic has increased to 1,166,148, which have been detected of the total 10,029,157 tests.
A total of nineteen (19) COVID patients lost their lives to the deadliest viral illness in the last 24 hours, of which 94.74% belonged to the population of unvaccinated individuals, the portal’s data further reveal.
The overall death rate of the Balkan state is 37,182. Meanwhile, there are a total of 1,092 patients with COVID-19 virus who recovered from the mutant and got discharged from the hospital facilities. The total number of COVID patients who recovered in Bulgaria accounts for 1,056,637.
For the current time, a total of 319 COVID patients are in the Bulgarian hospital facilities, including the recently admitted fifty-eight (58) patients. There are a total of twenty-eight (28) individuals in intensive care units.
The portal’s information further states that additional 413 doses of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the Balkan state.
Till June 6, 2022, there have been a total of 2,059,996 individuals who have received their required number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines and are now in the category of fully vaccinated population. The total number of individuals accounts for nearly 29.7% of the total targeted eligible population of Bulgaria, the official data adds.
