On April 25, at 5:30 pm, Hristo Tsokev Martin Ivanov will present the book “Malachite Forest”. The Aprilov-Palauzov Republic and the host gallery of the event organized the meeting with the readers in Gabrovo.

Malachite Forest is an inspiring story of path and meaning, fighting fears and despair, and the light at the end of the tunnel.

The music album in the book contains nine compositions that follow the book’s content, and each corresponds to the head of the text. The reader can read the lyrics, listen to the music and feel the main character’s story with their heart and soul.

It was a story of how one can find strength and faith in the most significant suffering and tragedy to turn personal tragedy into triumph and suffering into a human achievement.

“Every book/disc sold will ensure planting of a tree in the forests needing help in Bulgaria”, said Martin Ivanov.

Martin Ivanov is one of those Bulgarians who have gained valuable experience abroad to dedicate themselves to something significant here.

He is a composer, conductor, researcher, and rhythm coach who spent 15 years in the United States and Canada. He graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Boston (jazz composition and arranging), the University of Memphis and the University of Massachusetts (MLA and PhD in Arts and Composition).

Martin Ivanov taught design, harmony, and arrangement at the University of Memphis and the University of Massachusetts during 2001-2004.
Upon returning to Bulgaria, he founded the Institute LIBERA and laid the foundations for rhythm therapy and facilitation in Bulgaria.

The positive vibrations of his drums penetrate those in need of social and therapeutic support jails, elderly homes, children’s homes, day centres for children with disabilities and cancer clinics.
