Sofia, Bulgaria: The Balkan state recorded a total of additional 246 cases of the contagious novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The data was shared in the unified information portal of June 14, 2022. The daily reported infection rate witnessed a hike as compared to the previous day.

These new cases have been detected of the additional 5,089 tests conducted by the healthcare staff at the testing sites in Bulgaria. The positivity rate of the newly recorded COVID-19 cases computes for around 4.83%, according to the portal’s data.

Along with these cases, during the last 24 hours, a total of eight (8) COVID patients lost their lives to the deadliest mutant. This brings the overall death rate of Bulgaria to 37,204.

Meanwhile, there are a total of 2021 patients with the COVID-19 virus who recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the hospital facilities of Bulgaria, the data then adds.

At the present time, there are a total of 276 patients in the hospital facilities of the European country. A total of forty-four (44) patients were recently admitted to the hospital facilities, of which nearly 68.18% of people belong to the category of the unvaccinated population.

There are a total of twenty-nine (29) patients in intensive care units – ICU.

Additional 378 doses of the WHO-approved COVID vaccines have been administered in the European country during the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of doses administered in Bulgaria jumps to 4,403,139.

Vaccination rate of the European country –

Till June 13, there are a total of 2,060,564 individuals in Bulgaria who had received their required recommended number of COVID-19 vaccines and are now in the category of fully vaccinated. This number of individuals accounts for around 29.7% of the total targeted eligible population, the official data further states.
