Milan, Italy: Bulgarian gymnasts won two silver and four bronze medals at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Milan (Italy), which is the last start before the World Championships in Valencia in a month.

Boryana Kalen won a silver medal in a ball, Styliana Nikolova placed third on the same device, and the ensemble took bronze in the final of the five-hoop composition.

Yesterday Stiliana Nikolova won bronze in all-around. Boryana Kalain won silver on a ribbon in the last two finals and Nikolova bronze on bats. So, the Bulgarian graces come home with six distinctions from Milan, and the next start will be the World Cup in Valencia, which will take place from the 23rd to the 27th of August.

In the days before the World Cup, the Bulgarian girls suggested to work calmly and confidently that they have the most difficult, beautiful and artistic compositions, and they were asked to play them without mistake.

The Bulgarian audience was pleased by the performance given by Bulgarian girls. On social media, the Bulgarian residents congratulated gymnasts for their success and expect to achieve even more victories at the World Cup.

Additionally, Styliana Nikolova won the season of the World Cups in ball, bats and tape. At the end of each World Cup season, championship cups are presented for the best in all-around and on the individual devices – hoop, ball, bats and tape.

The general ranking summarises the three best results from the World Cup participation during the season. Valentina Ivanova’s alumni, Styliana Nikolova, won this season’s distinctions of the individual devices – ball, bats and ribbon.

The Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation congratulated everyone involved in the competition, including coaches, judges, psychologists, physicians, personal trainers and managers whose collective efforts brought victories for Bulgaria.
