The growth of Jammu and Kashmir’s overall cricketing scene has been significantly influenced by the local bat manufacturer KIS’s recent increase in popularity.
Firdous Khan and Shiraz Khan, two brothers, launched KIS in 2017, and since then, it has experienced significant growth and popularity among top national and international cricketers.
A cricketer, Mustafizur Rahman of Bangladesh, also started using KIS bats after deciding to use them during the 2021 IPL season.
Following its appearance, the Kashmiri bat company again gained attention when Afghanistan cricketer Fazalhaq Farooqi used a KIS bat while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad versus Gujarat Titans in the 2023 IPL.
A factory in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and Bijbehara, Kashmir, have been designated as the KIS bats’ manufacturing locations. The manufacturing business produces a range of cricket gear and goods.
During the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), many international cricketers used KIS bats, including Taijul Islam from Bangladesh and Shahzad Ahmed, a former international cricketer from Afghanistan.
