The Ministry of Culture and Plovdiv Municipality announced an open invitation for applications for the annual Hristo G. National Prize Danov” – 2023 for contribution to Bulgarian literary culture. The deadline for applications is May 22 2023.
The Christ G National Award Danov was established by the Ministry of Culture and Plovdiv Municipality in 1999. and is awarded annually on the occasion of May 24.
According to the established Statute of the Award on a competitive basis, awards will be determined and awarded in eight categories: “Bulgarian Publishing”, “Author of Bulgarian Fiction”, “Translator of Fiction”, “Author in the Field of Humanities”, “Children’s Edition”, “Artist or Book Design and Design”, “Presentation of the Bulgarian Book” and “A library affair.”
The Minister of Culture also presents a Grand Prize for overall contribution to national literary culture. Individuals and legal entities may participate in the prize competition.
The award is applied only to first editions and new translations. A proposal shall be submitted for participation in the match according to Appendix No. 1 to the Statute. The sample was published on the Ministry of Culture and Municipality of Plovdiv websites when the competition was announced.
The awards were announced to the public at a solemn ceremony in Plovdiv. The nominal composition of the jury is revealed at the award presentation.
