BA.5 Omicron variant cases reported by healthcare facilities of Bulgaria

All of the samples were taken from 16 districts of Bulgaria between the time frame of May 5 to June 3. According to the data shared by NCIPD, the BA.2 subvariant is the dominant one in the nation and has been reported in sixty-seven (67) cases. 

92 COVID patients tests positive for Omicron variant in Bulgaria

These samples have been taken from the COVID-19 patients during the time period of May 2 to May 17, 2022, NCIPD further stated, and were taken from 20 districts out of 28. 

Bulgaria: Omicron variant found in 180 patients

The highest number of COVID patients samples were taken from Sofia (79), followed by Varna at 17, then Pernik at 15 and Montana at 13, the data further adds.

National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases - (NCIPD) on March 25, Friday, stated that additional 456 cases of the Omicron variant have been found in 457 samples processed of the COVID-19 patients, from 24 out of Bulgaria's 28 districts.
