Sofia, Bulgaria: According to the data shared in the unified information portal, in the last 24 hours, a total of 263 additional COVID-19 cases have been recorded. With this, a total of two COVID-19 patients lost their lives to the deadliest virus during the last 24 hours, the portal’s data further adds.
These fresh COVID-19 infections were recorded in a total of 5362 tests conducted during the previous day. The positivity rate of the additional COVID-19 cases stands at 4.9%, and among these, 69.58% of individuals belonged to the unvaccinated population.
According to the data, at the present time, there are a total of 878 patients with viral illness in the hospital facilities. A total of twenty-eight (28) patients have been admitted to the hospital facilities in Bulgaria, of which 85.71% are not vaccinated against the virus.
Currently, there are a total of eighty-three (83) patients in intensive care units – ICU. In the last 24 hours, a total of forty-one (41) COVID-19 patients have been recovered from the deadliest mutant and got discharged from the healthcare centres.
Additional 314 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered on the previous day.
As of April 30, 2022, there are a total of 2,055,820 individuals in the European country who have taken their required number of the COVID-19 vaccines and are now fully vaccinated. This number of individuals represents around 29.7% of the total targeted eligible population.
On the other hand, there are a total of 746,796 individuals who are fully vaccinated and have also received their third dose or booster shots of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This number of individuals represents around 10.7% of the total targeted eligible population.
