Sofia, Bulgaria: As per the data revealed in the unified information portal, there are a total of 886 new COVID-19 cases of the novel coronavirus have been recorded in the European nation in the past 24 hours. These fresh COVID infections have been detected from additional 13,175 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, as of today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022.Â
The positivity rate of the new infections stands at 6.7%. This takes the total number of the confirmed COVID-19 infections to over 115,000. The toll of active cases is at 166,776 as of today.Â
During the last 24 hours, as of April 13, 2022, a total of ten additional deaths were registered by the healthcare establishments of the Balkan state.Â
Meanwhile, there are a total of 1964 patients of the deadliest viral disease who recovered from the mutant on the previous day and were discharged from the hospital facilities till April 13.Â
The portal’s data further adds that a total of 131 patients with the COVID-19 virus have been admitted to the hospital facilities in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours, of which around 81.68% belonged to the category of the unvaccinated Bulgarian population.Â
For the present time, a total of 1,157 COVID patients are in the hospitals, and 126 patients are in intensive care units – ICU.Â
