Ilin Dimitrov, Tourism Minister of Bulgaria, remarked that he presented one of the awards at yesterday’s Investor of the Year ceremony.
Several Bulgarian officials and other famous personalities joined the ceremony during the ceremony, and Minister Dimitrov was also a part of it.
Through his social media account, the tourism Minister informed that the award distribution ceremony was attended by ministers from the official government, as well as the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, who presented the grand prize in the Investor of the Year 2022 category.
It was received by Alkomet AD, Shumen, in the face of Fikret Inje – the majority owner of the company and honorary chairman of the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Bulgarian Investment Agency organizes the Investor of the Year ceremony and features entrepreneurs struggling with economic challenges, adjusting to the dynamic times we live in and developing successfully.
Minister Dimitrov highlights that more than 50 companies from all walks of the economy were nominated by the Chambers of Commerce, District Administrators and Municipalities this year. The main criteria that distinguished the winners were:
- The volume of investment.
- The number of jobs uncovered.
- The area in which the new production was created.
Minister Dimitrov excitedly announced on his official Facebook page that he presented the prize to the winner in the category “Municipality in Bulgaria with the most investments for 2022”.
This year she went to one of the signs of tourism in Bulgaria’s municipalities. The prize was awarded to Burgas Municipality and received personally by the city mayor – Dimitar Nikolov.
He expressed that Mr Nikolov (Mayor of Burgas) always talked to him about tourists, events, infrastructure and development ideas. At his invitation, the tourism ministry will probably make several initiatives together.
Minister Dimitrov shared his personal thoughts about Varna. He said, “I thought in Varna what a muddy anti-campaign is going on between all parties, how insults are every day, and I understood why Mr Nikolov was awarded”.
