Sofia, Bulgaria: The Balkan country of Bulgaria has recorded a total of 320 additional cases of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines in the time frame of the last 24 hours, 40 less than as compared to the previous day’s report. The data will be shared in the unified information portal of June 24, 2022. 

A total of 3135 Bulgarians were tested for the viral illness in the past 24 hours, of which 320 tested positive. The positivity rate of the new COVID-19 cases computes around nearly 10%. With this, the toll of the active COVID-19 infections in Bulgaria rises to 61,269.

Meanwhile, a total of 795 patients with the COVID virus got recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the hospital facilities, the portal’s data further adds.

Currently, according to the data, there are a total of 298 patients with the novel coronavirus who are in the hospital facilities of Bulgaria, including the newly admitted thirty-two (32) patients. Nearly 90.62% of the recently admitted were not vaccinated against the virus. There are a total of twenty-eight (28) patients in intensive care units – ICU of Bulgarian hospitals.  

Additional 393 doses of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the last day. Till June 23, as per the official statistics, there are a total of 2,061,262 Bulgarians who have taken their required number of doses of the COVID-19 vaccines, approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and are now fully immunized against the contagious pandemic. 

This number of individuals represents nearly 29.8% of the total targeted eligible population of Bulgaria. On the other hand, 61.3% of the world’s population is fully vaccinated, the data adds.
