Sofia, Bulgaria: The Balkan state of Bulgaria recorded a total of additional 310 cases of the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 update data was shared in the unified information portal of June 22, 2022.
These news cases of the novel coronavirus have been detected from the additional 3811 tests conducted at the testing sites all across Bulgaria in the past day, containing a positivity rate of 8%.
Along with this, three COVID patients lost their lives to the contagious viral illness in Bulgaria, raising the overall death rate. Meanwhile, 481 individuals with the COVID mutant recovered from the deadly virus and have been discharged from the hospital facilities, according to the data.
There are a total of 273 COVID patients in the Bulgarian hospitals at the present time. This number includes the newly forty (40) admitted patients of COVID-19 during the time frame of 24 hours. A total of thirty-two (32) patients are in intensive care units – ICU, in the hospitals of the European country.
Along with this, additional 402 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours. Among the individuals infected with coronavirus, a total of 1916 have quarantined themselves.
As per the official data, to date, there are a total of 2,060,103 Bulgarians who have taken their required number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines and are now in fully vaccinated individuals. This number of individuals accounts for nearly 29.8% of the total targeted eligible population of the country.

On the other hand, nearly 67% of the world’s population has received their first dose of the vaccine and are partially vaccinated, and 61.3% of individuals across the world are fully vaccinated by taking the recommended number of COVID-19 vaccines.
