Castries, Saint Lucia: Prime Minister Philip J Pierre hosted students and teachers from Special Education schools across the island for a Christmas Party on Monday.
Notably, the event took place at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence.
Despite all the preparations and excitement, this year’s festivities were postponed due to drizzly weather. However, as soon as the weather came to normal, the Minister visited Dunnottar School to give some food and gifts.
“Unfortunately, we had to postpone this year’s festivities due to the inclement weather, despite all our preparations and excitement. However, when the weather permitted, we gathered food and gifts and visited the Dunnottar School to spread some Christmas cheer”, PM Pierre stated.
The leader of Saint Lucia further said that he is looking forward to hosting this event for all the students and teachers in the new year.
It is to be noted the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, as well as the member of parliament serving for the Castries South, Ernest Hilaire also shared similar glimpses of his visit to St Joseph in Barre.
Notably, just a few days ago, the minister also shared the Christmas Schedule.

Recently, the government of Saint Lucia has also approved the barrel concession for the Christmas Season of 2023. The number of barrels that would meet the requirements for the concession would be restricted to two per household.
