The necessary organization for a fire hazard response has been created, with the RDPBZN and the Ministry of Interior-Gabrovo have been informed of the forecast values.

Expert advice is to avoid staying outdoors for prolonged hours between 2 pm and 4 pm when temperatures are at their highest. Hot weather is especially dangerous for young children, elderly and sick people.

Additionally, all 51 dams on the territory of Gabrovo District have passed the scheduled annual inspection in the period June 06 to July 13, 2023, the district manager engineer informed Christina Sidorova.

The inspections were carried out by the Regional Commission for Dam Checks. They found that most water tanks are upright. Three dams have been commissioned, and 17 have been prescribed, depending on the current state of the facilities with the corresponding deadlines.

As a result of the inspections, protocols were compiled that were sent to dam owners and users, as well as to the members of the Regional Dam Inspection Commission.

The Water Act includes representatives of the State Metrological and Technical Supervision Agency, the General Directorate of Dam Wall Supervision and their Facilities”, the Regional Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection”, the Basin Directorate – Danube Region, the Regional Administration and the respective Municipality.
