Johannesburg, South Africa: CCTV in Johannesburg, South Africa, captured the horrifying moment a busy road exploded, seemingly out of nowhere. The blast, which killed at least one person and left dozens more injured, sent vehicles flying into the air, with one man leaping out of the path of a minibus as it came crashing down.
Officials have yet to pinpoint the cause of the explosion, and some local residents had reported smelling gas. Egoli Gas, the company responsible for the pipes below the road, ruled out any possibility of a gas leak who confirmed that all their pipelines were intact.
