Until July 12, the children from Haskovo used the service centres in Stara Zagora or Pazardzhik. Now this can happen at DCPDUTS in Haskovo, entirely free for the children from the Center. The capacity of the Center is 30 children from 3 to 18 years old. Currently, there are 26 users there.

Children with special needs who need oxygen therapy have a variety of concomitant diseases and disorders—including childhood cerebral palsy, developmental delays, musculoskeletal diseases, cardiovascular disease, Down syndrome, autism and more.

Hyperbaric oxygenation /HBO/ has a proven therapeutic and immune-strengthening effect, used successfully to improve the quality of life and help the longer life of children with congenital and acquired malformations.

The barocamera is a compact machine of the latest generation. Its power is 1.4 bars. The sessions are from 30 to 90 minutes. The DCPDUTS team in Haskovo is already trained and can work with it.

Nedka Mladenova: CEO of the National Fund “St. Nicholas” Sofia, presented the documents for the donation to the manager of the Center in Haskovo. She said this was the fourth barocamera that the Fund has donated. “We chose Haskovo because there is no such machine here and in the area.

The funds are from voluntary donations, including to companies from all over the country,” Nedka Mladenova said. This is another donation from the St. Nicholas Fund to the Center in Haskovo.

A year ago, the same organization donated the Interactive Magic Pod on Evo – a unique educational tool, which is also an innovative method of adequate rehabilitation, worth almost BGN 11,000.

The value of the barocamera donated today is 27,000 BGN. , which includes delivery and conducting training of the Day Center staff who will work with it.
