Haskovo, Bulgaria: The Municipality of Bulgaria informed through its social media account that on June 12, 2023, at a gala concert in Haskovo, the best performers of old town songs and hits from the National Competition “With Ari’s Songs” were awarded.
Winner in the category “Vocal Groups” is Men’s Vocal Group “Avroleva” from NCH “St. H. E. S. Cyril and Methodius 1894 Topolovgrad. The best in the category “Chamber Ensembles” are the Haskovo Trio.
For individual performance in women, the first prize is for Elena Nikolaeva of the Varna Foundation; for men, the distinction is for Todor Nikolov from Topolovgrad.
For the best performance of a song from Asparuh Leshnikov’s repertoire, the first prize was awarded to Temenuzka Tyfekchieva of Pernik, and for the author’s music in the style of the old town song, the distinction goes to Raina Gorinova from the HR Community Center G. Danov, Plovdiv.
The best schlager performance in the 60s of the twentieth century, the award goes to VG “Tender Words” from ONCH “Zarya-1858” Haskovo, and the award for accompaniment were awarded by the jury to Stoicho Chobanov and Rosen Purlantov of Topolovgrad.
The 22nd National Competition-Festival of the Old Town Song “With the Songs of Ari” is organized by the Municipality of Haskovo and is dedicated to the unbeatable Bulgarian tenor Asparuh Leshnikov – Ari.
