Radoslava Boor’s exhibition “We are Earth” will be opened on April 22 (Saturday) at 18.00 at Vivacom Art Hall Oborishte 5″ in Sofia. The poster action is at the invitation of the International Stage Poster Triennial – Sofia 2023.
Artist Radoslav Boor began realising the project “We are Earth” in 2019, together with photographer Milos Nesic.
The project reflects global environmental problems recreated through portraits of human faces. The author achieves a spectacular synthesis between poster, body art and photography.
The aim is to disseminate information about environmental issues by generating visions with impactful messages.
The concept of the project lies in the idea that the future of humanity depends on the existence of our only home – Planet Earth, which we destroy every day.
“Whatever humans do on Earth sooner or later comes back to us, but most of humanity still acts as if it doesn’t happen.” “the author shares.
Therefore all environmental problems are reflected as portraits on the faces of different people. Twenty-one people from 9 nationalities voluntarily stand behind this idea. The project is entirely independent and non-commercial.
Some of the portraits have already been shown in different parts of the world: Peru, Finland, Iran, Hungary Ukraine. The Bulgarian audience is the first to see the collection of portraits.
Magdalena Maleeva, Maria Sylvester, Desi Stoyanova, Lily Geleva, Manol Peykov, and Daniel Nenchev are the new faces photographed, especially for the premiere in our capital. After Sofia, there is an exhibition in Prague and at the EU building in Brussels.
The exhibition is part of the International Stage Poster Triennial (Sofia) “Poster – Projections and perspectives” programme, supported by the National Culture Fund, Bulgaria.
