President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, praised the charitable organisations that participated in the Bulgarian Christmas charity event. Dessislava Radeva, the first lady of Bulgaria, was also present during the event. The major goal of this event is to raise money to support the country’s impoverished, orphans, and physically challenged children.

The head of state stressed that the more than BGN 2,720,000 in donations received from the charity initiative concert would assist hundreds of youngsters and offer specialised medical equipment for hospitals across the country.

President Radev praised the efforts of those who gave significant sums of money to benefit children. He expressed gratitude to all the writers, artists, and other creatives who contributed their skills and influence to “Bulgarian Christmas.”

The charity event, which was sponsored by the President, was in its 20th year. At 8:00 p.m., the concert at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre began, and NOVA TV and Bulgarian National Radio carried it live. Famous Bulgarian performers, musicians, athletes, journalists, and public figures supported the effort.

This Christmas, children in Bulgaria with rare genetic illnesses received special attention. They participated in numerous Christmas-related activities, such as carol singing, when they were invited to the event. They were joined by President Radev, who applauded their achievements despite the obstacles they faced.

President Radev said, “Christmas is a holiday of hope and faith, and Bulgarian Christmas has been uniting people who give hope to children in trouble for 20 years”.

He added, “Every child deserves support to unlock their potential, but there are children who need extra and specialised help for a better future. I sincerely thank all the donors involved in the fate of these Bulgarians and the efforts of their parents and doctors to improve their lives”.
