According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian army is allegedly leaving part of its positions in the Zaporizhzhia region of southern Ukraine. Recently, there has been less Russian army action in the surroundings of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station. Additionally, Kyiv claims that the Russians are arranging for the personnel of the local occupation management to be evacuated.
The area was crucial since the two countries accused each of bombing the nuclear site. On November 21, Russian soldiers claimed that Ukraine had attacked the atomic complex, almost resulting in another Chornobyl-style nuclear disaster.
Additionally, Ukrainian General Staff claims that Russian forces are still shelling several settlements in the Kherson region’s recently liberated areas. After defending numerous strikes from various locations by Russian troops, the region was liberated on November 11. Following Kherson’s freedom from Russian rule, President Zelenskky paid the city a visit.
According to Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Mikhail Podoliak, since February 24, when Russia began a full-scale invasion by launching a missile attack on Kyiv early in the morning, his country has lost 13,000 men in the conflict against Russia. Russia has reportedly lost more than 90,000 men, and the number is continually rising, according to reports from the Ukrainian defence forces.
According to US President Joe Biden, there is only one way for this war to stop: for Putin to order his soldiers to leave Ukraine. Marek Magierowski, the Polish envoy to the US, claims that the brutal winter will be yet another test of the cohesion and togetherness of the entire EU.
President Biden also tries to communicate with their Russian counterpart. He noted that talking to each other is the only path if Putin seeks peace. Biden emphasized that he was interested in understanding Putin’s true thoughts. Since the beginning of the battle, this is the first time a nation has attempted to contact Russia.
