The Bulgarian Police detained a Turkish Bus quickly crossing the border and entered Bulgaria with 41 illegal migrants boarding it. The Police managed to capture the Bus moving toward the Capital (Sofia) at high speed on the Trakia highway. The incident happened in the early morning at 5;30 when a Bus quickly passed the border, disobeying every signal given to stop and headed to the Capital. The driver also ignored the flag downed by the Policeman chasing him and refused to stop.
Bulgarian Police quickly followed the Bus and intercepted it at the village of Muhovo, a few miles away from the Capital (Sofia). The driver was captured, and 41 illegal migrants were found inside the Bus. 37 of them were hiding in the luggage department, and four were on the seats. Later, all of them were taken to the nearby Police station in the town of Ihtiman.
The SDVR and OD Ministry of Sofia will take care of the case. Questions were raised once again on the Border Security and the Police. Once again, a Bus carrying multiple immigrants crossed the border and entered the province of Bulgaria. The incidents freshen up the horrific memories of the Burgas incident that occurred in the previous month when two Policemen were killed by an illegally entered Turkish Bus that rammed over a Police car trying to intercept the Bus. Both Police officers lost their lives in this incident. The whole province of Burgas stayed in fear for many days.
The number of illegal migrations across the border is still rising; even the Border police made a fence and used modern technologies like drones and thermals. But, unlike Burgas, no one is injured during the incident. The Police are on high alert, and border security forces have taken strict measures to prevent another illegal migration.
