National players Kalin Zlatkov and Julia Zlatkova (Julen) are the winners of the Balkan Cup for the 2022/23 season. The two collected the most points for the general ranking in the restored format of the race since they started in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria.

The Balkan Cup final was also held today in Bansko on the Tomba track. Participation in the slalom organized perfectly by BFSki and Julen AD took 22 women from 9 nations and 40 men from 12 countries. In women, Zurbrigen won with a total time of both sleeves of 1:46.03 min.

The second is Julia Zlatkova (Julene) at 1.16 sec, and the third is Louise Bertani (Vitosha Ski) at 3.83 sec. In the men, Shepa won with 1:37.58 min, ahead of Hugh McAdam (Australia) – 1:38.33 min and Kalin Zlatkov (Julene) – 1: 38.72 min.

The winners of the Balkan Cup were personally awarded by Tseko Minev, a member of the FIS Council and President of the BFSki. The other prize winners received their awards from Georgi Bobev, Vice President of BFSki, and Patrick Lang, Vice President of the Georgian Ski Federation.

The giant slalom and slalom were valid for both the Pirin Cup and the state until 18 and 21. Tomorrow starts in Bansko and continues with a giant slalom for men and women, valid for the State Championship.
