Sofia, Bulgaria: As per the data shared by the Ministry of Health in the Unified Information Portal, the previous week witnessed a total of 460 COVID-19 related fatalities. With these additional deaths, the total COVID-19 casualties rate in the European nation has increased to 35,458 as of February 27.

Meanwhile, in the time period of the last seven days, a total of 21,383 individuals in Bulgaria tested positive for the deadliest viral disease, bringing the tally of confirmed infections of the novel coronavirus in the European state to 1,087,796.

According to the official portal’s data, as of February 27, Bulgaria contains a total of 220,452 COVID-19 active cases, which has witnessed a decrease in the past seven days.

In terms of hospitalizations, 4233 total COVID-19 patients are at the present time in the hospital facilities of Bulgaria, out of which 498 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

The number of patients in the ICU has also been declined, as compared to that of the previous day’s report.

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, the vaccination sites across the European country administered 1179 doses and 23 521 total in the last week; the information shared in the portal further notes.

Around 23 259 medical personnel so far have contracted the SARS-CoV-2.
