Dryanovo, Bulgaria: The Municipality o Dryanovo announced the exhibition of Dryanovo Beekeepers to be celebrated on July 15, 2023, at Largoto, Sofia, where from 5 pm to 8 pm, local beekeepers will offer the first honey harvest this year, as well as other bee products.
The Municipality emphasizes that there will also be a quiz with prizes, so the interested must prepare for the competition. Along with the exhibition, the Summer Theater Family Festival will also be held, during which there will be many games and entertainment, puppet theatre, soap bubble show, stand-up comedy, and more.
The Bee Association was founded in Dryanovo in 1906 by uniting Dryanovo beekeepers and helping the development of their activity. The seat of the company is the Beekeeper’s House on the street. “Pancho Cherkovsky”.
During the event, a brief lesson on the protection of bees and their importance will be conducted to aware the residents about the involvement of bees in food production.
Bees are essential for pollinators as they play an important role in pollinating trees and flowers and maintaining a healthy ecosystem necessary for food production.
As per the bees expert unit of the United Nations known as (FAO), Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations, 33.33% of global food production relies on bees. Due to air pollution, habitat destruction and nutrition deficit, a vast number of bees are dying worldwide.
It is important to save bees to balance the food production cycle, or the human race will be doomed if they go extinct.
The exhibition to be organized by Bee organization is another step towards emphasizing the significance of bees and will educate the attendees to contribute to this noble cause.
