Gabrovo, Bulgaria: The regional administration of Gabrovo informed through its social media account that Gabrovo will accept donations in support of the Berkovitsa floods until June 23.Â
On June 12, around 5 PM, an unexpected flood hit the town of Berkovitsa in Montana province. Fortunately, no casualties were recorded related to the flood, but it caused massive property damage. To help the people of Berkovitsa struggling from unexpected trouble, the Gabrovo Municipality urged the citizens to donate essential items in order to provide relief to the flood-affected citizens of Berkovitsa.Â
The city of Berkovitsa recorded flooding due to storms; the strong floodwater current also took cars away and damaged more than 100 homes, washed-away street pavements, and damaged autos in various Berkovitsa locations were submitted to the municipality.
The crisis command centre for responding to accidents and disasters began rescue operations in Berkovitsa at 9:30 PM and declared an emergency. Teams fromÂ
Teams from other settlements also worked on street clearance and drainage while using every piece of equipment the city’s fire department and the municipal government had available.
Following is the list of items required in support of Berkovitsa floods until June 23-
– all kinds of cleaning products;
– new blankets;
– new sheets and sleeping sets;
The donations can be made at the Regional Administration Building – Gabrovo, fl. 2, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Those wishing to help the victims can also do so by donating to a bank account of the Municipality of Berkovitsa.Â

The Gabrovo Municipality emphasizes that in the payment order, donors must specify the reason for “Flood” or another particular purpose for which they are making the donation.
