“Bulgarian youth is more interested to start business compared to EU”, Manol Peykov

Manol Peykov, Former Member of the Bulgarian National Assembly and Managing Partner at Janet 45 Publishing, remarked that Bulgaria tops the European Union in the percentage of young people who say they have started their own business or are taking steps to do so.

Most often, they are driven by their desire to pursue their passion or interest, with a significant barrier being access to sufficient funds.

Peykov commented that these are part of the findings of the Eurobarometer study published in March. In Bulgaria, it was held in October 2022 among 1,021 people aged 15 to 30 years.

While posting the update on his official Facebook page, Peykov wrote, “In the past is the image of a young “businessman” with a shaved head, a jeep and a gold chain and young Bulgarians (15-30 years old) imagine working (or having a business) in different spheres”.

As per the study of Eurobarometer held in October 2022, when the Bulgarian youth was asked what the most important goal for them, they would set when creating their own business, Bulgarians most often said that it would be following their passion and interests, creating their own business, doing something possible for the world and creating job opportunities.

The member of the Bulgarian national assembly also provided statistics of the Bulgarian youth they want to do in future-

● 46% – to follow my passion or interest
● 30% – to create my own business
● 24% – to get rich
● 23% – to do something positive for the world
● 30% – to put innovative ideas into practice
● 23% – to create jobs for others. ”

Peykov said that the fact that the county’s youngsters are aware of and more interested in accomplishing their future ambitions is a proud moment for the county. He stated that the straightforward ideology of Bulgarian youth will bring growth and stability in the upcoming future.
