Bulgaria is planning to scrap all the entry requirement related to measure against covid-19 from May 1. The information is as per the order should by Health Minister Assena Serbezova on April 28.
Till May 1, passengers arriving in Bulgaria from any other foreign Nation are permitted on presenting a valid Europian Union digital Covid certificate or equivalent for vaccination, having undergone the disease or having tested negative however there are around 10 nations that are exempted from that requirement too.
Meanwhile, the 10 nations that are exempted from requirement are North Macedonia, Poland, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Israel and Egypt.
While emphasising an explanatory memorandum, Serbezova noted to World Health Organization data showing a downward trend in newly registered cases of Covid-19 globally.
She said that in the EU-EEA region, the incidence of Covid-19 varied widely.
Serbezova has mentioned decreasing Covid-19 rate in Bulgaria, reduced numbers of patients in hospital as well as reduced death rate.
Nineteen of the 27 member states of the EU had repealed requirements such as the digital certificate, she said.
