Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of Egypt, is scheduled to visit India on the 74th Republic Day and will march alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India will show off its military might and capability as it is the fourth-largest military power in the world after China, Russia, and the United States.

According to PM Modi, President El-visit Sisi’s to India was “historic.” He also mentioned how happy everyone was that President Sisi would be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebration. He arrived in the country today evening and received a  warm welcome in India.

“We are all really happy about your historic visit to India as the Chief Guest for our Republic Day celebrations. Enjoy our discussions tomorrow,” PM Modi tweeted.

On his official visit from January 24 to January 27, the Egyptian President will be accompanied by a high-level group that includes five ministers and senior officials.

Additionally, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic relations between Egypt and India. Egypt has also been asked to join India’s G20 Presidency as a guest country.

Before leaving India, Egyptian Presidency’s spokesman said that President El-Sisi received an invitation to join the celebrations as a guest of honour, representing the convergence between the two countries.

The statement from the spokesman claims that the President’s visit to India falls on the 75th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic ties between Egypt and India.

According to a media advisory issued by the MEA, Sisi would meet with President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, among others, in the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

As per ANI, Indian President Murmu will host an at-home event at Rashtrapati Bhawan, and Sisi will be there. He’ll meet with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar as well. He will communicate with Indian businesspeople. On January 27, Sisi will return to Cairo.
