Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire encourages participants to take part in Jazz & Art Festival

Ernest Hilaire, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, has expressed his excitement and happiness as the country prepares for the largest-ever Jazz and Arts Festival. 

With heartfelt greetings, he suggested his fellow Saint Lucians to participate in the festival’s events and demonstrate their creative and innovative skills.

According to Minister Hilaire’s post on his official social media account, he sent warm greetings and an invitation to the residents and citizens of Saint Lucia, emphasizing the significance of their involvement as the celebration would only be complete with their vital contribution.

Meanwhile, he suggested the island residents to participate in the festival’s art events. Minister Hilaire wrote, “As we prepare for the return of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival this year, it would not be a true Saint Lucian celebration without the participation of our people.”

The Cultural Development Foundation is asking all Saint Lucian Artists to join in the Arts and The City component,” said Saint Lucia’s Deputy Prime Minister, expressing his excitement for the upcoming Jazz and Arts event.

Furthermore, DPM Ernest Hilaire invited all Saint Lucian artists and creators to participate in art events and presented the standards and requirements that individuals must meet in order to take part in the event titled ‘Art and the City Visual Exhibition,’ which can be found below:

Event: Art & City Visual Exhibition

Work Media: Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Installations.

Entry Conditions: Biography of the artist, The Work’s Title, Work year, Work medium, and Work size – five to ten (5-10) digital photos through email. Images should be mailed in JPEG format with a resolution of 300 dpi and a size of around 4×6.

Registration cost: Registration is free of charge. The deadline is April 25. 2023 Art & the City maintains the right to pick all works from submissions.

Artist notification: The artists will be informed by their given emails

Accepted Artwork: It shouldn’t be framed. Artists Art and the City can display their art. Wall pedestals will be provided.
