Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit has extended his best wishes to the Prime Minister  of India, Narendra Damodardas Modi. The leader of BJP, PM Modi will be swearing into the office of the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term.

The results of the general elections for India were declared on June 4. The National Democratic Alliance led by the Bhartiya Janata party (BJP) leader and Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi is embarking on a historic third term in the office.

Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit took to his Twitter account to congratulate PM Modi. He called his victory historic and extended his best wishes to the Indian Prime Minister for his unprecedented third term.

PM Skerrit claimed that they are looking forward to fostering deeper ties between the commonwealth of Dominica and India. The Prime Minister added that they are looking forward to further collaborations that would benefit both the nations.

PM Modi will swear into his third term into the position of the Prime Minister with the BJP Led alliance, NDA securing 290 of the total 543 seats in the nation’s parliament. The election process started in India on April 19 and spanned more than 45 days.

The biggest electoral event in the country was hosted in 7 phases. At the end of the election process, the ruling alliance secured a majority and will be running the government with a strong opposition, INDIA Alliance with 243 Members in the parliament.

The Commonwealth of Dominica shared a deep and strong bond with India as the two nations have supported each other in times of crisis. Both the nations share the values of enhancing the prosperity and welfare of their people.

India has remained a strong ally of Dominica in the international platform.

They supported Dominica with over 70,000 doses of Covishield vaccines which were sent from India to help Dominica in combatting Covid 19.
