On Monday, Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral was held at Westminster Abbey in London. Leaders across the globe, including US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, India’s President Droupadi and many others, joined her funeral. Everyone observed a two-minute silence to pay respects to the Queen. Bulgarian President Radev and his wife also paid requests to the Queen; he said, “The Queen served her people”.

With a solemn expression on their faces, King Charles III of Britain and his siblings led the procession to the Abbey. It was the first funeral in the UK since Winston Churchill’s in 1965.

The Queen took her last breath in Balmoral Castle in Scotland on September 8. The coffin of the longest-serving monarch of the United Kingdom was carried to Westminster Abbey in London along with the Royal family members. The reciting of “God Save the King,” the national hymn with new lyrics, marked the conclusion of the funeral service.

At The King’s request, the wreath contains flowers in shades of gold, pink and deep burgundy, with touches of white, cut from the gardens of Royal Residences. The coffin of the Queen was carried to Westminster Abbey on the State Gun Carriage, same as her father, King George VI, grandfather King George V, great-grandfather King Edward VII, and great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.

The UK’s government declared a holiday for the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth. US president Joe Biden also expressed his condolences to the family. He said, ” “when she leaned over and touched. How she asked, “Are you okay? Do you need anything from me? What do you want? “Make sure you do what you’re meant to do,” is another instruction. “She reminded me of my mother”.

The Queen was born at 17 Bruton Street in Mayfair, London, on April 21, 1926. She was the first child born to Queen Elizabeth and The Duke and Duchess of York, who eventually became King George VI.
