Sofia, Bulgaria: Georgi Valentinov Georgiev, Chairman of Metropolitan Municipal Council, informed that with the efforts of Dimitar Dimov, the Mayor of Nadezhda district, the Metropolitan Municipality built a 4-story parking lot for 310 cars in Nadezhda 1″.
With its construction completed, almost 310 families will have a modern European parking lot in which to park their cars. He mentioned that this is the first multi-storey neighbourhood parking under the municipal program.
The distance of this newly built 4-story parking lot is only 50 meters from the Nadezhda metro station, which is equipped with multiple parking lots supporting electric car charging.
Sharing the details on his official Facebook account, the Metropolitan Chairman informed that 32 places in the parking lot have the possibility of charging electric cars, and 14 sites have been allocated for people with disabilities.
The site has an elevator, lighting, green walkways and relaxation benches.
Minister Georgiev remarked that he is delighted after the decision of the Metropolitan Municipal Council, public discussions, and working meetings with the area’s mayor, Dimitar Dimov and after months of hard work, the Municipality has officially opened the large modern parking lot that the citizens of the size needed.
Chairman Georgiev emphasizes that with the cooperation of Mayor Dimitar Dimov, the Municipality will continue to resolve the issues and fulfil the demands of residents of Nadezhda district. He urged the residents to support Mayor Dimov so he could continue serving the people of Nadezhda.
Mayor Dimov shared details about the expansion of boulevard ”Rozhen” to the Northern Speed Tangent. He noted that this is the strategic project in his program, with funding secured and for completion at the end of next year.
Yesterday, the first dig made by Sofia’s mayor, Yordanka Fandakova, launched this vital project for the northern territories. With the new boulevard, three lanes in one direction, the Municipality will reconstruct and continue the tram route, building new underground infrastructure, lighting and landscaping.
