Dryanovo, Bulgaria: On October 6, the 140th anniversary of the birth of Racho Stoyanov – writer, poet, playwright and translator will be celebrated.
Racho Stoyanov Genov-Dufev was a Bulgarian writer, playwright, and translator. He began his literary career in 1904 and received critical attention from renowned authors Anton Strashimirov and Konstantin Velichkov.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the writer’s birth, the National Scientific Conference “Eras, Personalities, Memory” is being held at the Historical Museum – Dryanovo.
The Historical Museum organizes the event – Dryanovo, in partnership with the Municipality of Dryanovo and the Faculty of History of VTU “St. annes Cyril and Methodius.”
The work of specialists from museums, archives and universities participating in the scientific conference will also bring additional clarity on topics related to our medieval history revival processes, with cases of an ethnographic nature.
Racho Stoyanov Professional High School of Economics and Technology organizes a solemn presentation of wreaths and flowers at the monument of its patron in honour of the anniversary of his birth.
Their appreciation of the writer was expressed by the acting Mayor of the Municipality of Dryanovo, Krasimir Dimitrov, Director of the Historical Museum – Dryanovo, Regional Governor of the Gabrovo Region, Racho Stoyanov Drama Theater Gabrovo, PGIT Racho Stoyanaov, Maxim Raykovic High School students and guests.
On October 6, PGIT “Racho Stoyanov” is also set to celebrate the completion of 61 years of its foundation. On this occasion, Krasimir Dimitrov – the acting Mayor of the Municipality of Dryanovo, presented a congratulatory address and flower to Maria Subeva – school director.
The exhibition will take place tomorrow at 5:00 PM in the Historical Museum – Dryanovo, dedicated to the anniversary of the writer. It is prepared by the museum editors in partnership with the State Archives – Gabrovo and is part of the accompanying events of the National Scientific Conference.
