Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, appreciated the services of the Hemodialysis Unit offered at Joseph Nathaniel France General Hospital for the past ten years.

At the beginning of September, the Joseph Nathaniel France General Hospital marks the completion of ten years since appointing a Hemodialysis unit to cure patients with kidney-related issues.

On his official Facebook account, Minister Douglas wrote, “Many Lives have been prolonged. This Month, September marks ten years since the opening of the Hemodialysis Unit. We thank all the hard-working Nurses, Doctors and Auxiliary Staff for their continued commitment and care of the Patients”.

Minister Douglas emphasized that for over a decade, the Hemodialysis unit has offered its services without any break, spending ten years treating patients suffering from kidney issues and saving numerous lives.

He noted that the residents of Twin Island Federation must admire their service and appreciate them for the crucial service they have been offering continuously for the past ten years.

Through his official Facebook page, Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, thanked the Hemodialysis unit’s continuous service for a decade. He noted that the government appointed a Hemodialysis unit based on the increasing number of kidney-related diseases.

Since then, several patients suffering from Kidney problems have been cured and are living happy lives with their loved ones. All made possible due to the hard-working Nurses, Doctors and Auxiliary Staff who performed their duty with a strong commitment and took good care of the Patients.

The Joseph Nathaniel France General Hospital was established in November 1968, providing various medical services in St Kitts and Nevis.

Over the years, the hospital has undergone numerous changes, including rebuilding its physical structure following hurricane damage. Now, the hospital operates out of a new building on its original site after extensive reconstruction work, which began in 2000.

The reconstruction provided the opportunity to use expand services. Now, the hospital delivers all high-tech and advanced medical services: Ophthalmology, Physiotherapy, Intensive Care, Psychiatry, Advanced Diagnostic Testing, and Emergency Medical Services.
