Haskovo, Bulgaria: Eight new projects will be financed by the Haskovo Municipality under the Ordinance on Financial Support of Local Culture, the Commission, which evaluates the project proposals, decided at its meeting.
In the first stage, the projects of local cultural institutions, creators and organizations were 39. The annual budget, which the Municipal Council approved at the proposal of Mayor Stanislav Dechev for financing local cultural initiatives, is 220 000lv.
At a meeting held on June 15, 2023. , Committee consisting of: Chairman Yordanka Ivanova – Chief of the Department of Education, Culture, Youth Activities and Sports in the Municipality of Haskovo and Members: Gergana Petrova – Municipal Councilor, Ivan Ivanov – Municipal Counselor, Snezhana Mihailova – Municipal Councilors, Diana Ilieva – Employee of Haskovo Municipality, Valeria Kavardzhieva – Proposal of Local Cultural Associations and Organizations and Slaveiko Andonov- proposal of local cultural associations and organizations, reviewed, evaluated and ranked draft proposals under the Ordinance for Financial Support of Local Culture in the Municipality of Haskovo in the second stage of application.
Seventeen projects with a total value of 79 708 BGN have been contracted. By directions: “Community Areas”, “Cultural Initiatives”, “Mobility”, and “Confirmed Significant Events”. The Commission approved financing 8 of them with a total value of 33,197.
