The Karcher’s team cleans with professional machines one of the iconic monuments in Haskovo, known as the Monument to the Unknown Warrior.

The project is being implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Haskovo. The work to clean the Monument is rewarding. It is done with the help of the highest-class water pumps, high-pressure machines, industrial vacuum cleaners, multifunctional utility machines and hand brooms.

Mama Hristo Mamarov, the project manager Karcher said, “The method chosen was extremely economical and environmentally friendly, without the use of any chemicals.” We used machines with water heating function and high pressure to remove all the stubborn contaminants”.

He added, “To aid the clean-up after the monument’s wash, we will include a multifunctional utility machine that will sweep away garbage, but can be re-equipped as a street wash system, lawn mower, snowblower, irrigation system, woodcutting, mulching and more”.

The complete cleaning of the Unknown Warrior Monument is carried out with a team of 5 people over three full working days. 2 tonnes of water is planned to be used. The garbage collected at the end of the project will be about 1 ton. The complete cleaning of the Monument is prepared together with a restoration expert.

The Municipality of Haskov thanked Karcher’s team for responding to the invitation and cleaning up the Monument and its surrounding areas.” With this project, we show how municipal structures can successfully collaborate with businesses to benefit citizens and make cities cleaner”.

“For us, Haskovites, this Monument is of priceless historical value, so we approach all activities related to its restoration and cleaning extremely responsibly. In this sense, the partnership with Kerher guarantees us quality and safe work to preserve one of Haskovo’s symbols,” commented Dinko Tenev, Deputy Mayor of Haskovo Municipality.

Among them are the “Space Needle” in the United States, the Statue of Buddha in China, the Colossus of Memnon in Luxor in Egypt, built over 3,300 years ago, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin, considered a symbol of the German capital, the columns of St. Peter’s Square in Rome, the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, the statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro and the sculptures of the Presidents in Mount Rushmore, USA.
