Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Poponne Skerrit, member of the House of Assembly for the Roseau Central constituency and wife of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, shared a glimpse of the Easter celebration through her social media account at the Roseau Central Easter Eggs-extravaganza in Peebles Park.

The celebration was specially organised for children. It can be seen that several rides and other kid-friendly activities were planned during the Easter celebration in the video she posted on his official Facebook page.

Roosevelt Skerrit, the prime minister, and Melissa Skerrit cut the ribbon to kick off the festivities. Minister Skerrit was seen carrying children and enjoying with them. They were greeted to the Easter festivities in Peebles Park by Easter bunnies swinging hula hoops and colourful cardboard easter eggs.

Melissa Skerrit was also observed having a good time with the kids and passing snacks to the children present while they were enjoying the rides. Under Melissa Poponne Skerrit’s direction, everything was planned out, and she gave great attention to the children’s and their parents’ present-day safety.

Melissa Skerrit added Easter bunnies to the festivities to double the fun and give the kids some of the finest moments of their lives. In addition, she visited the young patients in the hospital to celebrate Easter and sent goody gifts to seniors.

The sick children admitted to the Winston ward at Dominica China Friendship Hospital received Easter gifts and easter bunny dolls from the housing and urban development minister. She visited each of them and sent Easter greetings and best hopes for a quick recovery.

She also brought Easter gifts for the medical workers and was grateful for their devotion to service. Melissa posted various images of the celebration and presenting gifts at the hospital on his official Facebook page.

Additionally, Melissa Skerrit encouraged Dominica’s citizens to walk the path God gave. She conveyed the message of Easter by stating that everyone has been given a second chance. Anyone can let go of the past and concentrate on the present, which has the potential to provide happiness and honourable decisions.
