The international film festival ‘ON THE BEACH’ announced eight short films in September. The organizers announced five short films would be screening in Sofia (Bulgaria), three in Shumen (Northern Bulgaria), and one in Paris (France). The film festival event will disclose water preservation with the documentaries on September 3, beside the Rivers of Sofia’s bridge. Everyone is welcomed, and the entrance is free.
The international film festival on the beach celebrates independent film, including film screenings, filmmakers’ panels, and filmmakers’ workshops and parties. An award ceremony has also been organized.
The festival’s primary goal is to provide multiple opportunities for filmmakers to screen their films. The film festival attracts 58,000 fans and features more than 100 films, 30 short film programs, and a dozen public parties promoting more than 60 culinary partners with their finest tastings.
The main festival’s programme will be screened at Sofia’s Kino Kabana between September 4 and 6. Every Cinephile can watch movies from countries worldwide, including Norway, Israel, Kenya, Indonesia, Portugal, the UK, the USA, and Bulgaria.
The directors also announced a session of questions and answers at the end of the screen, and the international jury also gave an award to the finest entries.
According to the directors, all Bulgarian movies will be screened in Les Cinemas Star in Strasbourg (France) and Le Christine cinema in Paris.
French subtitles are also added to every short movie.
The Entracte Theatre in Shumen (Bulgaria) will host a monthly telecast of Bulgarian movies worldwide, beginning on September 23.
A year-long enterprise,” Evenings of Bulgarian short film” screenings and discussions, will take place on September 30 at Sofia’s Yalta Art Room. Screenings will be dedicated to showing the best cinematographic achievements of young Bulgarian artists. The forum expects to generate a space where Bulgarian short films can continue their lives and gain new audiences.
