Health Minister of Bulgaria Assen Medjidiev said that his ministries carried out surveys that showed positive results when it comes to medical administration. The conditions were very challenging in some places, but our medical services were perfect, and they cared for every patient.
The ministry of Medjidiev inspected four hospitals, One in Stara, Zagora, two in Sliven and another in Burgas.
Medjidiev said the main objective behind these inspections is to ensure that Bulgaria is entirely prepared for a possible covid-19 wave. The ministry personally inspects staffing and how far emergency aid projects have come, as well as renovations and emergency department organization.
The Medjidiev denoted due to the rise in prices of construction materials, electricity, gas and other consumables. He specified that repair works had not been started at some places.
Medjidiev said that he communicated with the people. He added that his impressions from a medical point of view were good.”I had conversations with patients admitted to the hospitals about the level of medical service, the attitude of the staff and the speed of processing, accommodation, and first aid in the emergency centres.”
The Minister singled out the suspension of repairs and incomplete initiated projects as problems. Medjidiev described that another BGN 6 million and over BGN 40 million would be needed for this and next year to complete the emergency centre projects.
The Minister added that reserving extra teams in places like Primorsko on the Black Sea is nowhere. Medjidiev demonstrated that contracts are being completed with the Sunny Beach and Golden Sands resort to positioning a twenty-four-hour duty team to maintain emergency centres during the summer months until the end of this season and the next.
