Bulgaria is all set to perform at the 2022 International Bansko Jazz Festival at mountain resort town from August 6 to 13, where stars from Israel, the US, Ukraine and many other nations are to perform at the event.
Among the prominent names is drummer Billy Cobham, who is born in Panama, but who was three-year old when he moved with his family to the United States.
In the 1970s, he has also played with Miles Davis & then after in the Mahavishnu orchestra which is led by John McLaughlin. He has also worked with the greatest in jazz & the wider musical world, from George Benson as well as Stanley Clarke to James Brown, Roberta Flack, Peter Gabriel and Quincy Jones.
Also on the programme are Georgia Cable from the United States, Salvador Sobral, who got Portugal the Eurovision success in 2017 along with the gentle jazz Amar Pelos Dois, Brazil’s Igor Wilcox as well as his quartet & one of the queens of bossa nova Rosalia de Sousa as well as Israeli star Dafna Levi.
Dafna Levi will be attended on stage by Tamir Miler (piano), Asaf Sirkis (drums), Ventsi Blagoev (trumpet) & Mihail Ivanov (double bass and bass guitar).

During the festival, one can also enjoy a culinary demonstration by Vered Elron, who will prepare the traditional Israeli dish sabich. The event is on August 9 at 1pm at Dedo Pene Tavern, 1 Aleksandar Buinov Street in Bansko.
