Bulgaria: Most of the gas stations and all the members of the Bulgaria Oil and Gas Association offered the state discount on the price of fuel. The citizens of the country usually get 25 cents per litre for base fuels, which is deducted from the price on Saturday.
The announcement was made by Svetoslav Benchev of the members of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association and stated that most of the gas stations in the country as a whole already offer a state discount on the price of fuel.
Further, in reply to the questions, Benchev explained that the only way to find out which gas stations offer the discount and they are asked on the spot.
He further asserted that the idea of the stickers is also in consideration to inform about this. Benchev stated that it is of the opinion that the most efficent and suitable option for the help that was also chosen is given as follows:
It should be voluntary
It should not be mandatory
No serious change in the accounting software is necessary for the implementation.
Outlining the details about the fuel prices, Benchev added that the appreciation of the dollar is the first and foremost cause why they are not going down instead of the major decline in the price of the oil products.
Benchev further recalled that in the country, the fuel is the cheapest in all of the European countries and in terms of stopping the processing of the oil that is from Russia is also proved useful.
He pointed out, “The accepted exception for Bulgaria in terms of stopping the processing of Russian oil is useful; otherwise the prices would have skyrocketed.
