Bulgaria reports 86 deaths & 6531 new cases

The European country recorded a total of 6531 new cases of the deadliest COVID-19 virus, along with eighty-six (86) deaths on February 11, 2022.

Sofia, Bulgaria: The European country recorded a total of 6531 new cases of the deadliest COVID-19 virus, along with eighty-six (86) deaths on February 11, 2022. The active novel coronavirus tally hikes to 260 634.

With the recording of additional deaths by the Bulgarian healthcare authorities, the death toll of the country has risen to 34 314. The data has been shared by the unified information portal in its daily COVID-19 update report.

The new cases have been resulted positive in the 33 745 COVID-19 tests performed by the hospital facilities. The positivity rate from these cases turned out to be 19.35 %. Although, the statics shows that the active case numbers have seen a decrease of 1275, as compared to February 10, 2022.

The official portal’s data further states that around 7720 COVID positive individuals recovered from the viral disease. The total recovery rate of the European nation stands at 736 712 as of February 11, 2022.

In 24 hours, 721 new hospitalizations were recorded at the healthcare facilities. There are 618 coronavirus positive people in the intensive care unit.

On February 11, 2022, there are a total of 7433 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered in Bulgaria. As per the data shared by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control’s (ECDC), as of February 11, 2022, there are a total of 2,026,063 individuals who have taken their required number of the COVID-19 jabs and are now fully vaccinated against the deadliest virus. This number counts for around 29.2% of the total population.

On the other hand, there are a total of 653,060 individuals who are fully vaccinated and as well as has taken the booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. The number of the individuals with booster shots is around 9.4% of the total Bulgarian population.
