This latest endeavour underscores a commitment to proactive law enforcement and community engagement, following recent preventive measures, including patrols with service dogs in the city centre and efforts to mitigate the influx of illegal residents in the Northern Industrial Zone.

The directive from Senior Commissioner Pavlov mandates specific time zones for police presence around educational institutions. Officers will be stationed in the morning from 07:30 to 08:30, ensuring a secure environment during the arrival of students.

Additionally, patrols will resume after classes, from 16:30 for kindergartens until 5:30 or 6:30 p.m., aligning with varying school schedules.

“The safety of our citizens, especially our youth, is paramount,” stated Senior Commissioner Pavlov. “This initiative not only aligns with the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ priority of increasing road safety but also reflects our commitment to fostering a tangible police presence within the community.”

This strategic deployment of law enforcement resources aims to deter potential threats, enhance visibility, and foster a sense of security among residents and commuters.

By strategically stationing officers along pedestrian paths near schools and kindergartens, authorities seek to create safe passages for students and their families, particularly during peak traffic hours.

The decision to concentrate efforts in areas frequented by students and parents underscores a proactive approach to community policing.

The initiative not only addresses immediate safety concerns but also reflects a broader commitment to community-oriented policing.
