Georgi Peev, a resilient Bulgarian who has undergone both heart and kidney transplants, achieved a remarkable feat by conquering the highest peak in Africa – Uhuru in Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

Peev proudly shared his triumph on Facebook, announcing the successful ascent at 6:36 AM, Bulgarian time, alongside three fellow compatriots.

The ascent holds special significance as Peev becomes the first person globally with both a transplanted heart and kidney to reach the summit of Uhuru.

Expressing his gratitude, Peev credited the Bulgarian company ‘ExoticTour’ and their Tanzanian partners ‘Exuberant’ for their support and trust in making this extraordinary expedition possible.

He also acknowledged Ivan Maslarov from Velingrad, highlighting his crucial role in the adventure.

“This expedition was extraordinary because, for the first time in the world, a person with a transplanted heart and a transplanted kidney climbed Uhuru. The credit for this is the trust of the Bulgarian company ‘ExoticTour’ and their Tanzanian partners ‘Exuberant’,” Peev shared on his Facebook page.
