Dryanovo, Bulgaria: A big sports holiday gathered in Dryanovo dozens of athletes from all over the country on Friday, October 13, 2023. The 54th Kolyu Ficheto Road Athletics Run and the third edition of Dryanovo Run – part of the national chain “Bulgaria Run” were held yesterday.
On a sunny autumn day, the start of the fifty-fourth edition of the Kolyu Ficheto International Athletics Cross, took place in Dryanovo Municipality which is the second longest-running road race in Bulgaria. A total of 59 athletes/men and women / of different age groups measured forces in distances of 1000 and 2000 meters.
Immediately after its completion, the other primary race, “Dryanovo Run”, – is part of the national chain “Bulgaria Run”, which is being held for the third consecutive year in Dryanovo.
Participants have the right to choose two routes to race, the longest of which is 13 km. The competition was attended by 34 of the best Bulgarian athletes, who measured their strength on the road from the town of Dryanovo to Dryanovo Monastery.
The short 1000-meter lap had the opportunity to join all those interested sports lovers. Sports events personally respected the President of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation, Ivan Kolev. He and the temporary acting mayor of Dryanovo Municipality, Krasimir Andreev, awarded the winners.
Marinela Nineva and Stoyan Vladkov again pleased Dryanov residents – the two won the third edition of the 13 km run. More detailed information will be available in the coming days on the Municipality of Dryanovo’s official website https://www.dryanovo.bg/.
