With the support of the Environment Operational Program, the Sofian Municipality is expected to buy 52 more electric buses, and 22 of them will replace old diesel buses – first on lines 23 and 100, and by mid-April on lines 81 and 101.

Mayor Fandakova remarked that the Municipality of Sofia will use the smaller 30 electric buses for hotspots per district. Vitosha HVAC Simeonovo, Malinova Valley, Gorna Banya, Karpuzica and Monastry Meadows to the subway and main tram routes.
