According to a reservation made on his behalf at one of the top restaurants close to the Belogradchik Rocks, billionaire Elon Musk is likely to visit Bulgaria on April 23 next year, the BTA was informed on Wednesday by acting Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov.
Musk reacted to a photo of the Kaleto stronghold in Belogradchik shot by Bulgarian photographer Vladislav Terziiski via his Twitter account on Tuesday, prompting Dimitrov to invite Musk to visit Bulgaria in a tweet and a Facebook post. The drone used to take the picture highlights the distinctiveness of the rocks and the old fort. “Pretty sure that was in Elden Ring,” Musk wrote in a tweet. He gestures toward a location from a fantastic video game.
Following this, a number of high-tier individuals began inviting Musk to travel to Bulgaria, including officials from the country’s government and interim Deputy Prime Minister for managing EU money Atanas Pekanov. This may have contributed to the reservation being made in Musk’s name.
Since the start of this year, about 70,000 people from Bulgaria and abroad have visited the Belogradchik Rocks, one of the country’s top 100 tourism destinations.
Minister Ilin Dimitrov even suggests in a Facebook post that the municipality of Belogradchik host an annual cosplay festival.
He also congratulated Vladislav Terziiski, the photographer who took the shot of the Belogradchik Fortress, which drew Musk’s attention.
Speaking about the preparations to be made for Elon Musk’s visit, he said, ”Mr. Musk liked a photo of the Belogradchik Rocks on his social network.
Well, what else can we do, except to invite him to see them live, to ensure how beautiful they are (not only them) and eventually treat him to brandy / Bulgarian wine”.
