Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan N. B.C. Hussein Husseinov. The conversation discussed the possibilities of expanding bilateral cultural cooperation.
Ambassador Huseinov pointed out that the cultural dimension was essential in the relations between the two countries. He traditionally emphasized excellent interaction, expressing a desire for its expansion.
Minister Nayden Todorov greeted N. B.C. Huseinov for the active work to popularize Azerbaijani culture in Bulgaria. The two united around the view that culture provides many opportunities to collaborate with people through different art forms.
Participation in international book fairs, film festivals, genre-themed cultural programs and festivals, exhibitions, etc. is possible. It was pointed out that the implementation of joint projects would be helpful for Bulgarian-Azerbaijani cultural cooperation.
In the context of the overall efforts to enhance cultural exchange, Minister Todorov noted that the current program of cooperation in the field of culture between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan expires at the end of 2023.
They also proposed to develop a draft of a new Program for Cooperation in the Field of Culture between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Cultural of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the period 2024-2028
