The relationship between Bulgaria and Georgia has only flourished and paved their way towards prosperity and had been a helpful hand to each – other. Both countries are part of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation organization.
Discussions on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation encompassing Bulgaria and Georgia took place on Saturday in a meeting between the Bulgarian Ambassador Vesselin Valkanov and the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.
According to Georgia’s foreign ministry, an official discussion about economic relations and trade between both countries highlighted Bulgaria’s steady presence in Georgia’s top ten trading countries over recent years.
The existing trade and economic relations of these countries are evolving as discussions on these topics are occurring more often with an optimistic approach at various levels, including business, security, and finance, that have been subjects of debate between both the countries for a long time.
The significant role of the Black Sea region in protecting and cooperating in the arena of transport, communication and other crucial treaties. Both sides emphasized the importance of the support of Georgia’s partners to the countries’ Euro-Atlantic aspirations against the international challenges in the wake of the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine and the security atmosphere in the area.
A few weeks ago EU granted a European perspective to Georgia and highlighted its “irreversible” progress on its Euro- Atlantic Integration path. Ilia Darchiashvili, the Georgian diplomat, government official and a former bank manager serving foreign affairs, congratulated the Bulgarian diplomat on his successful appointment and wished him healthy luck in his work in Georgia.
At the same time, Vesselin Valkanov, the ambassador of Bulgaria, reassured Bulgaria’s firm and steadfast support to Georgia and to seek a strengthened version of their friendship.
Darvhiashvilli also ensures that the friendship will continue to flourish and congratulates Georgia on its European and Euro – Atlantic integration.
